About Me

Originally from Tokyo, I am a bilingual Service Designer / Design Researcher with 9+ years of experience in advertising and user-centred design. I help design inclusive services and products using my experience living with visual impairment.

I started my career as a Strategist in advertising: helping international brands identify problems and develop creative solutions to achieve their business objectives. Most of my career was spent at Wieden + Kennedy, working with people from diverse cultural backgrounds in the world’s leading creative agency.

I came to the UK to complete a Master’s Degree in Service Design at the University of The Arts London to add a new way of thinking to my existing experience. After completing my degree, I worked as a Service Designer at the local council in the UK to design accessible digital public services for all residents.

Currently, I am working as a Product & User Research Manager at Saas HR Tech startup, Attuned — a product that helps managers determine what motivates each employee with the goal of creating an inclusive workplace and a psychologically safe work environment.
At Attuned, I lead user research and co-design processes to define the needs of our customers.
